Fiscal Workshop Summary
The Kamite APS Fiscal Workshop was an educational event designed to empower foreign communities by providing clear and accessible information about the Italian fiscal system and digital tools of the Public Administration.
The workshop took place on Saturday, September 6, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Via Morgari 14, Turin, and was attended by twenty participants. The main goal of the workshop was to explain key fiscal instruments such as the ISEE model, the 730 tax return, and the 5×1000 contribution. These tools are often unknown or difficult to understand for foreigners living in Italy, yet they are essential to access social benefits, apply for tax deductions, and support nonprofit organizations.
In addition, the event introduced the concept of Digital Citizenship, highlighting the importance of SPID and online public administration services, which simplify access to rights and welfare measures. The target group of the workshop was mainly migrants, refugees, and members of the diaspora living in Turin, especially from Sub-Saharan Africa. The initiative sought to promote financial literacy and integration, enabling participants to better understand their fiscal rights and duties. It also created a space for dialogue and inclusion, where the community could directly interact with experts and share their challenges.
The event was structured into several phases : A welcome session, an introductory speech by the President of Kamite APS, interactive icebreakers, technical explanations on SPID, ISEE, 730, and 5×1000, as well as a final reflection and feedback session. The program ended with a symbolic toast, reinforcing the sense of community and mutual support. Importantly, participation was free of charge, ensuring accessibility for all interested people. This initiative demonstrated how civil society organizations can play a vital role in bridging the gap between migrants and institutions, using fiscal education as a tool for empowerment, inclusion, and social development.
